that was the emotion eva tsunaka felt towards everyone in the room at the time of the announcement.

why did she feel hatred for five people she previously sat and had dinner with? well, explaining that was simple.

she was sat with her parents and three strangers—one of which the announcement was based around. the other two being their parents.

what was the announcement? well, they were arranging a marriage between the two young adults. the idea was for them both to use their ultimates for more fame and financial gain for both families.

in eva's terms: the two ultimates were getting exploited and they were getting married for no reason.

this was totally an abrupt change. eva remembered fighting and protesting against said marriage. the tsunaka family had enough money, eva was a talented—against her will—mathematician, they lived fairly wealthy and in a mansion. what more could they ask for?

so now, two weeks later, eva had to share her space with some random ultimate that she didn't know, didn't want to know, and despised. she had to wear a ring she didn't want on her finger.

this was unnecessary. they were unnecessary. they were simply an intrusion that she couldn't get rid of.

sharing everything including a room of all things wasn't something the mathlete could handle.. and refused to handle.

the mathlete was reading a novel at her desk in silence when she heard the door open.. it was her fiance.

immediately getting irked, she slammed her book shut and twitched her eye. not bothering to look at them, she opened her mouth. "can't you be anywhere else right now?" the words were cold and emotionless. it was clear she did not like her 'fiance'.
