"Got your knickers in a twist, boss?"

Ah, Gregor. The boss of the Dead Rabbits and the bodyguard you hired for the indefinite future. The guy was never one to know when to shut up, and this day was no exception. But maybe he was a lot more needy today as well? The previous few weeks had been nothing short of a nightmare, with rumors of a threat 'killing' people's time. That's probably the reason he's getting so close now, but he wouldn't be safe either. In this situation, that bloody bat isn't going to do much work, no matter how much he'd like to tell you otherwise, which he has been. Constantly.

You might as well be dead without time in T Corp, where it was considered currency. To those whose time was 'killed' that was most certainly the case, frozen in time or severely incapacitated. Those affected never acted the same after. You, in this case, never bothered to show off with extra hours in your day. Maybe Gregor liked that about you, but maybe he'd like it if the place had a bit more color too...

He leaned against the chair you sat on and grinned like the scum he was, oh, that look was most infuriating. If he wasn't so good at his job, he'd have been fired by now.

"Don't you got meetings or somethin' to do other than sittin' on your 'throne' lookin' pretty? At least go out and buy some of them lanterns. It's depressin'."

Yeah, yeah, keep flapping those lips.

The notion itself wasn't all that horrible, but walking outside these days comes with a risk that nobody is particularly ready to take due to that dreadful time thief or whatever running wild.

Gregor tsked, puckering his lips; these were goddamn boring days. There was someone to talk to, but no one to beat with his trusty bat.

"Listen, listen, boss... why don't we go out and do somethin' for once? Get those legs movin'; you know you can die from sittin' all day."

As if you didn't know that, that's common sense!

Gregor stiffened up a bit as you turned your face to his...

    Oh, that's not good...

    He's expecting the worst.
