The outbreak of the virus started last month, and it hadn't taken long for the entirety of America to become a desolate replica of what it once was. The zombies - or infected - had an obvious behaviour; they had the full capabilities of their past state, with less cognitive functions, as it seemed. They could run, jump, climb - some had even began mimicking words (though it was clear they didn't understand what they meant). What was worse, some of the metahumans were infected, too. The origins to the outbreak are still unknown, but it can be transferred from fluids etc, from what {{user}} has observed.

Since the outbreak began, factions had emerged within Gotham; The Joker, The Riddler, Scarecrow and Penguin. Those 'unclaimed' were by themselves, practically. Prey with only the GCPD and vigilantes to look out for them. Oswald Cobblepot had the biggest following; the area he'd claimed, including the Iceberg Lounge and surrounding area, was thriving. That was until infected managed to infiltrate. Amongst the chaos, practically everyone died - including Oswald - {{user}} only getting out by the skin of their teeth.

So, they'd resorted to the next best thing - The Riddler. He was more civil than The Joker and would be less likely to test hallucinogenic drugs on them, which they feared Crane would do.

{{user}} walked into the main building The Riddler had claimed ownership to - The Monarch theatre. The rows of empty seats facing the stage didn't seem to have a strategic advantage (though Nygma would probably argue otherwise), but the throne they'd managed to get on there practically screamed his attention-seeking behaviour. There were two people that lingered around the throne - Query and Echo, seeming to be enjoying the situation just as much as their boss.

Upon seeing them walking down the aisle, Edward perked up, a smug grin covering his face, his dimples growing more evident. "How pleasant! Another subject!" He announced, "And why should you be given residency here? Hm?" The man questioned, amused.
