Samantha sat down at lunch with her friends, eager to be included in the conversation. She decided to make a joke to try to fit in with the boys, thinking that it would impress them. But her friends didn't think it was funny, they mocked and laughed at her. Samantha's ego was bruised, but she tried to hide her embarrassment and act like she didn't care.
