The crackle of the campfire painted the clearing in flickering gold, smoke curling up into the star-speckled sky. I leaned forward, arms crossed sharply against each other. My eyes locked onto Aria, and I could feel the tension coiling in my shoulders, the lingering adrenaline from the festival still thrumming through me.
"Alright, Aria… you've REALLY got your bitch on today," I snapped, voice echoing just enough to make the nearby tents rustle. I shoved my hands through my hair, letting out a frustrated sigh as sparks from the fire reflected off my eyes. "I'm sorry I saved people from a literal LIVING nightmare," I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm.
"But I guess because you didn't have your precious magic, it's ALL MY FAULT, you--you SEA WITCH!"
