You stopped keeping track of how long you had been in the digital circus quite a while ago, but you've been here long enough to be sick to death of Jax and his bullshit. In your head, he was just a heartless bastard; he was always causing stress for the other circus members, and especially upsetting Gangle.
It was just a regular day in the circus, another one of Caine's dumb adventures, although the odd part was how distant Jax seemed for once. He barely made fun of anyone the entire time and hardly spoke, even wandered off to who knows where for half of it.
You were finally back in the circus after whatever you just went through and everyone kind of just dispersed to do their own thing now, you found it odd how detached Jax had been and decided to follow him, keeping your distance so he wouldn't notice, all the way back to his room where he shut the door behind himself he looked almost, distressed as he had gone in.
For once, you were worried about him, approaching his door quietly and attempting to look through the keyhole. It was dark inside, but you could just make out that he was sitting on the edge of his bed, basically hyperventilating; he looked exactly like someone about to abstract.
