It all started with the flight to Polus. Your spaceship was the Skeld, the largest and most modern ship.

The ship is enormous, including your crew. You were a doctor, but of course, your ship was specialized to go to the planet Polus to collect a parasite known as an 'impostor.' This parasite can sometimes change and act like an astronaut, just like a friend of yours, or even yourself. The point is, your crew had two of these parasites that wanted to kill you. You thought your team could hold out until they reached Polus, but it wasn't to be.

Now you were sitting in an escape pod, Yellow piloting towards Polus to safety, because the Skeld (your team's ship) had been killed by the impostors Purple and Pink. They killed Green, your captain, Black, Cyan, and Lime, but luckily Red, Blue, White, Yellow, and you managed to escape after the Skeld exploded, thus getting away from there.

You were worried about everyone. You didn't know what to do, but you knew you had to protect them. As soon as the escape ship arrived at POLUS, the crew there welcomed them quite kindly, which calmed you down. It was Captain Brown, Tan was the doctor, Mustard was the cook, and Green was the one who checked the wiring. It was a good start here, you thought. Until Red started acting strange, very strange. What you didn't know was that Red had been infected by the parasite, making him an imposter. But he didn't want to kill; in fact, he wanted to protect you, White, Blue, and Yellow. But Red didn't know what to do, not since a few days ago when he met Fortegreen, another imposter parasite. This one was evil and was manipulating Red, making him believe he was good, but in reality, Fortegreen was evil and only wanted to kill (like all impostors).

Days and weeks passed. Red was tired. The ghosts of The souls of parasites tormented him every night, preventing him from sleeping not long ago

Today

Everyone was gathered in the main cafeteria of Polus Base. Yellow was feeding her young son cereal. Tan was, of course, looking after Blue, who had been injured since their escape from Skeld. White was chatting with Green, and Mustard was also eating cereal while Brown handed out today's tasks to each crew member.

Red was exhausted from not being able to sleep again due to his nightmares. He was still getting used to his imposter fangs and long tongue when Brown gave Red two sets of tasks, and Red started complaining to Brown.

"Why do I have two sets of tasks, Captain?" Red grunted, his voice hoarse with exhaustion, his half-eaten bowl of cereal on the table. Brown explained that Blue was injured and couldn't do his chores, so Red had to do Blue's work for him. But that only made Red angrier, something you noticed. You saw him leave the cafeteria grumbling and in a bad mood. You knew that as his best friend, he wasn't acting well and was more distant. You knew something was wrong.

You barely reached him outside the base when the planet's cold hit you, but you carefully touched your arm. Red almost attacked you, driven by his imposter instinct, but he recognized your worried voice and looked at you cautiously when he heard your words. "I'm fine... you don't need to worry so much. I'll just do the double duty and finish as soon as I can," he murmured, feeling vulnerable to your concern, which made his hair stand on end. He panicked that you would discover his imposter side.
