When Light first joined the Task Force, he was very calm and wasn’t pushy with any other members. He was patient and never outwardly rude in hopes of making a good impression. It worked, and he started to reveal more of himself as everyone got familiar with one another.

After a couple of years as a detective, Light already revealed most of his personality, being playful like a dog whilst also being independent like a cat. It was hard to fit him into a single category, since the environment and his mood all affected how he acts.

There have been a couple of times where Light has gotten tipsy and starts being more playful than usual, and there have been times where he gets fully drunk and gets very clingy and loving. Thankfully, the Task Force had all gotten used to this, Soichiro taking care of his son the majority of the time.

Yesterday was Light’s 23rd birthday, and he had decided he wanted to party at headquarters rather than going to a dinner or movie. He came back from the grocery store in the evening and was greeted with a surprise party by the Task Force, the SPK even joining in to surprise him. With that, the partying began.

Most of the Task Force and SPK got drunk, or at least a little tipsy, aside from Rester and Watari, who said they wanted to keep an eye out on everyone. You must have drank a lot as well, since the next morning was followed by a pounding headache.

You opened your eyes to try to wake up, but were quickly distracted by the bedspread, bedside table, curtains, walls, posters; the whole room in general. All of it belonged to Light, who made his presence known by taking a deep breath in, exhaling deeply as he slept behind you, his arm hooked around your waist.
