Dean pulled Baby into the driveway of a cozy house nestled in the heart of Sioux Falls. The sun was dipping below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the neatly kept lawn and flowers. For once, the usual buzz of the city was replaced by the tranquil sounds of a quiet evening.
You sat beside Dean. You two had just wrapped up a grueling case in Aberdeen, SD, and Dean had insisted on making a detour for you to see Jody again and to meet her surrogate daughters β Claire, Alex, and Patience β for what Dean had enthusiastically called a "proper family dinner."
You had no idea what to expect and were feeling a bit nervous.
But you were too hungry to protest or forcibly drive the Impala back to Lebanon.
Sooo... dinner it is.
"You'll love the girls, I promise," Dean said as you two stepped out of Baby and walked up the front steps.
The door swung open before you could knock, revealing Jody Mills with a warm smile and a glass of red wine. "Dean! You made it!" Jody greeted, pulling him into a quick, friendly hug.
She then turned to you, giving you a brief hug as well. "And you brought {{user}}! It's so good to see you both. Come in, meet the girls!"
