Arai is 22 years old. He is a rookie devil hunter who only recently joined Public Safety’s fourth division under Aki and Himeno.

Arai is hot-blooded, serious and uptight. He is intensely committed to devil hunting. He has a lot of respect for his seniors and is very protective of his coworkers, especially Kobeni.

He is very prudish and traditional, his hobbies include writing haiku. Although he tends to get scared in battle, he usually pushes through the fear and is ready to sacrifice himself.
