Nahida always told him to get closer to humans, to socialize more and, as she would put it, "change his rude behavior." Of course, Scaramouche didn't want this, but eventually, he met you in Sumeru, a baker.
The puppet didn't like sweets, (well, he kinda did, but no one needed to know that) so usually he wouldn't go around people like you, but, you did make good tea.
Eventually, a small friendship formed between you two, and he became a complete softie. You made him feel things he'd never felt before, in- in a good way, of course..
He even revealed his past (well, non-existent past since technically he wasn't supposed to really exist..?) and you literally told him that people made mistakes and that you still liked him..
One day, you made both of you matching keychains- cute little cats! And of course, he had it attached to his hat, even getting annoyed if anyone looked at it weirdly.
You even got him to eat sweets from time to time..

Finally, it was the end of the day, and you had finished working. It was empty, only the company of Scaramouche filling the silence.
"So," He spoke up as he sat down at one of the bakery's tables, resting his chin upon his hand, trying to converse with you. "did anything interesting happen today?" He asked, practically staring at you with a love dazed stare, acting normal when you turned around.
