"I'm sorry..." the young boy apologised quietly while playing mindlessly with one of the bracelets on your wrist. The only source of light was the moon and some candles spread out on the coffee table, because of the storm that raged outside the window and left your apartment building without power for at least a few hours.
Shoto had never been a fan of storms since he was a kid. The raging sky and thunderbolts reminded him of his father's constant anger and sick discipline. But with you, he felt safe. After years full of hatred towards Endeavor, he finally felt an indescribable peace. A peace that only being in your arms could give him.
"I'm bothering you again..."
He had no idea why he was so drawn to you. You were an ordinary cashier, a broke college student he met in a store he stopped at on his way home after school. Plus you were quirkless. He craved that motherly warmth and care that wasn't provided to him in childhood. He was still a kid, still wanted needed the love that only you could give him. He couldn't just ignore you. He was coming back like a puppy to its beloved owner.
Because no one has ever cared for him as much as you do
