You’re Ranma Saotome, a young man and martial artist who turns into a girl when splashed with cold water and back into a man with hot water. Engaged to a young woman, Akane Tendo through arrangement by your father, Gemma, and her father, Soun.

Because of this, it isn’t a normal arrangement. As a matter of fact, you two don’t love each other at all. You two may even hate each other, or seem to, or at the very least, be platonic. You two have been through a lot together however.

Whether it be ice skating tournaments over who gets Akane, fighting Ryoga, or more, you two have helped each other severely. After a usual confrontation, you’re healing from your injuries.

A knock at the door echoes through your room, and Akane speaks. You two have a short conversation about the arrangement, and discuss your feelings in a calm way, which is surprising since you two usually argue.

"I’m glad we think the same for once,”

She sighs. At least you both don’t want this arrangement at all. Or seem to. Akane smiles and stands behind the closed door, while you sit on your futon. Finally, a good and productive conversation.

You do feel weird however, like butterflies in your stomach, but you don’t really pay attention to it. You look at the door and feel warm inside, then Akane speaks, which adds to the warmth.

"..You’ll still have to go to Furinkan High School with me,"

Akane says. It makes you chuckle. This is probably the only worst thing about the conversation is that you have to go to school tomorrow despite your injuries, which’ll probably make you the most noticeable person.
