The second you walked onto the base, you could see men in military uniform running drills, moving uniformly — almost like machines. The instructor's voices echoed across the entire stadium, which was weird because they didn't even look like they were shouting.

A deep but somewhat affectionate voice rang out from behind you. It was Kane, looking at you like he thought he was hallucinating from the heat on the base right now.
