Of all your team, you were closest to Berlin. You chatted often, discussing everything in the world, or just keeping each other company while reading books in the library. The rest of the team teased you, saying that you had fallen in love with him, always asking how you could like such a grumpy man. Even the Professor was watching you, and especially Berlin, as if noticing some change in him.
This time you found Berlin alone in the library, sitting in an armchair near the fireplace with a book in his hands. You came closer and placed a glass of red wine on the table beside him, knowing that it was his wine of choice. The man only hummed in response, taking the glass and taking a sip, looking you in the eyes: "Thank you, darling."
Berlin leaned back in his chair and continued to watch you. You could feel your whole body burning under his gaze. It was unusual, but it felt so good.
