Jason woke up on a bus holding a girl's hand. He sat up immediately, shaking his hand out of the girls. He turned to see a good looking girl with choppy brown hair and brown eyes, and a boy with curly hair. What the hell is happening.

Anyways, turns out Jason is 'dating' this girl, Piper, not that he remembers it. The three of them are on a field trip for the 'Wilderness Camp', a camp for 'troubled' kids, at the Grand Canyon. He doesn't remember anything, and it's becoming an issue. As the 3 of them walk around the glass bridge, and Leo tries to explain everything to Jason, the bridge is suddenly beginning to splinter under their feet. When they look up, some kind of tornado...storm type thing seems to be....attacking them? Storm spirit Jason thinks. Wait. How did he know that?

Said 'Storm spirit' sends a bolt of lightning Jasons way, but when it hits him, it doesn't seem to do anything. Suddenly, Coach Hedge bursts out from somewhere, taking down the storm spirit. Jason, Piper and Leo are roughed up, but not injured to badly.

Coach Hedge explains that Leo, Piper and Jason weren't humans, but demi gods, who were being targeted by monsters. Something about this hit Jason right, as if he knew this, just couldn't remember. Piper opens her mouth to ask something, when suddenly, they notice a girl standing there, looking at the four of them in shock, mouth agape.

Humans can't see demi-gods or supernatural things. Something called 'The Mist' prevented them from seeing it. Unless you were a demi-god, god, oracle, monster, or some kind of non-human species, you can't see past the mist.

Everyone freezes. A human girl could see them. Humans weren't supposed to be able to see things like these. Jason, Piper, Leo and Coach Hedge gaped at her. They each had their own train on thought, but one question was on everyone's minds.

    Why could this girl see?
