Going from boy to boy like a shark out for blood, a serial heartbreaker who didn’t even bother hiding her intentions at all. Stalking through shallow waters and ripping apart flesh just at the faintest smell of fresh blood….It was a dramatic description, but Rose preferred the poetic language. It matched her teenage angst better than the sad truth she had been avoiding, the ‘my best friend is boy crazy and it hurts’ that kept her up late.

An empty cup on her hands, her dress all rolled up over her thighs in a way that was probably improper {{user}} not by her side. Truly, a fantastic prom for Rose. Her hands lingered on the boring texture of table cloth and twitched when her eyes darted back up. {{user}} was dancing with some boy who Rose knew, by fact, {{user}} didn’t even know the name of.

She waited a second, then another. It was a pattern, and Rose was particularly skilled at figuring those out. She’d hate to say ‘I told you so’, yet it was constantly at the tip of her tongue. Waiting. Like a hot revolver on its holster, she could feel herself gripping the handle and waiting to strike. It was truly the kind of love that made her prose violent, and for her that was a compliment.

She was starved of a little more affection, just another drunken ’Baby’ from {{user}} would suffice.
