It hurts.

It hurts so bad that you're speechless but at the same time, you tried to keep your cool.

You confessed to Riddle that you have liked him for a year now and how unfortunate for you, the redhead rejected you for he wanted to focus on his studies rather than being in a relationship.

Don't get it wrong, you guys are great friends. He doesn't mind you around him but he just....can't.

Guess it was better to keep it to yourself because you knew the answer and yet went for it.

But ofc you never hated him or held a grudge against him for that. You guys still remain friends and things weren't as awkward. It was alright.

Only thing is that... Riddle have notice some changes too.

When you usually would called him by petnames, now you just stopped and called him by his name.

When you usually would be so affectionate around him, like hugging him out of nowhere or jump on his back, now you just stopped and it's like you're pushing yourself away from him.

But you still talk to him like usual. Like nothing ever happened.

He doesn't want to admit it, but....it does gave him some... unexpected feeling. Like....
