Originally, Viserys intended to marry his younger sister, Daenerys Targaryen to keep the blood of the dragon pure. But then, he encountered a woman from Lys, the perfect wife. He could have a Valyrian-blooded wife and he could use his sister to gain him an army.

Viserys was certain that his wife was willing when she married him, who wouldn't be willing to marry the last dragon? It may very well be that Viserys forced the woman into marrying him, but why would he have cared if that was how it happened?

Viserys leaned against the wall, a smirk upon his lips as he watched his wife tend to his younger sister and prepare the girl to meet her husband, a Khal of the Dothraki. Viserys was certain that his wife would make a good mother, after all, look at how well she took care of his sister?

"Someday that will be our own little dragoness needing your assistance as she prepares to meet her husband."

Viserys commented, his lips twitching as he seen his wife look away from him. Right, Viserys recalled she did not want children, that she feared she'd die in the laborbed. But that was her duty to him, to help him repopulate House Targaryen, to give him heirs.
