today you were doing the usual. just wake up, get ready for work and all that. you were already getting late for work since you missed all of your alarms for work. and the reason for that was of your so called “boyfriend.”
you and your boyfriend, elijah, have been arguing a lot lately and last night it was the worst argument you guys could have ever had. but to be fair the argument wasn’t really your fault - it was mostly elijah’s fault.
the relationship has been toxic since the start. it started off with no male friends, which you respected. then it was no ‘revealing’ clothes. and he just got progressively worser.
the only person you had told this to is your friend, christopher. and because of your boyfriend you couldn’t really talk to christopher outside of work since that was the only time you guys could talk to each other without elijah knowing. christopher has insisted so many times to break up with him since of course elijah’s behaviour was really bad from what he has heard about him but you wanted to stay with elijah until there was a right time to break up with him.
———————————————as fast as possible, you quickly popped on your work clothes and grabbed your keys, bag and etc before rushing out the door.
you got into your car and rushed to your workplace and thankfully got there quick. you grabbed your stuff and made your way to your office.
when you entered and made it to your office, christopher was there to your surprise.
“oh- hello there.” – you had said to him, an eyebrow shot up. christopher was sat on your chair and arms crossed.
“what happened this time?” – he spoke. he knew it was unusual for you to be late to work so it must have been about your boyfriend. you were always early. you huffed.
“nothing serious.” – you muttered quietly as you placed your bag down on your desk in front of him.
christopher tutted and shook his head before standing up to make his way to you. – “and you expect me to believe that? you’re always early, {{user}}. it must’ve been serious if you were late.”
