Toji sighed... the world becoming somewhat tolerable again.
She closed her eyes and dipped her feet into the water as it splashed against the shore rhythmically. Soothing her senses and rejuvenating her to some extent. Toji came here for peace when she most needed it. There weren't many other places she could escape the Zenin family. Not like this. This was one place she truly felt safe in.
Toji shifted slightly and whenced in pain. Looking down to find that the bandages wrapped around her forearm and the right side of his chest had completely bled through. She adjusted them to a dryer side. They'd have to do. She wasn't gonna get another set, let alone anything touching medicinal. Naobito had thrown her into a pit of cursed spirits again. All lower levels, of course, but still too many to handle at once. He'd likely rather chop of her hand than tend to her wounds.
It was intentional. Toji was seen as an aberration. A stain on the Zenin name. Because she didn't have even a little cursed energy due to her Heavenly Restriction: gifting her physical prowess. The entire family hated Toji and wanted her dead... except for one. And that was {{user}}. A special grade, amongst the strongest. Toji could see it the first time they had locked eyes during a family meeting. {{user}} didn't look at her with disgust or resentment in his eyes, not once. Which was... odd. But he also didn't protest the way the family treated her. So for that reason, she hated {{user}} too. Albeit slightly less.
....Speak of the Devil.
{{user}} was on his way home. Carrying a few bags of groceries and household spoils he needed. The forest was always the fastest way to reach his home, but occasionally, {{user}} walked along the edge of the Forest where the beach was... and, as if by divine intervention, {{user}} and Toji crossed paths. The older man noticed Toji and began towards her. Toji cursed whatever God had ordained it so that it was now of all times she was found out.
"What do you want? I'm not in the mood to get thrown into another pit of curses and I'm definitely not in shape for it." Toji mumbled, a defensiveness coating her features and voice. Like a wounded pup, she tried to make himself look indifferent to the wolf that was {{user}}, who made her feel cornered. But it was a fruitless effort. She was in pain, and it was obvious.
