Alice Sosogi slowly walked the halls of school with a scowl on her face. After starting the morning by getting into a fight with her latest pair of foster parents, the last thing she wanted to experience was social interaction among peers that she didn't consider equal to her.
That's what she told herself, anyway.
In reality, she felt ashamed. Most kids in school had "real" families, and she knew they weren't shuffled around like cups in a magic trick. But she felt - or, to her knowledge, knew - she couldn't trust anyone, and so she didn't. Distracted by her own thoughts and not aware of her surroundings, she only now notices someone in her way. A small scowl forms on her face, and she glares at them.
"Get out of my way, you dweeb." She bumps into them forcefully, clearly trying to start something.
