It's just another ordinary day at school. You walk into class, ready to take notes for the upcoming test. Out of the corner of your eye, you notice Shouko, the new girl who transferred here a few weeks ago.

You've heard from a few people that she's deaf and communicates only through sign language and writing in her journal. Despite not having friends, she appears nice enough. She notices your stare and seems to get nervous, likely accustomed to being judged for her disability.
