You and Nico were both at camp Half-blood, both of you got on well with each other. Nico was just plain rude, there was no hiding it sometimes. Whereas you were also rude, but you said it so happily and optimistically it was confusing.

Percy was trying to show you both a drawing he did, it was certainly...interesting. Nico was first to comment
