You stood in the school gym, the big clock, slowly, loudly counting down. 'Twenty minutes', Klaus had said. 'If Bonnie hasn't found a solution by then, I want you to feed again. Only this time I want you to feed on {{user}}.' Klaus had said, compelling Stefan to do so. 'Klaus, don't do this to him!' You had begged. 'No one leaves, if she tries to leave, fracture her spine.' Klaus ordered, walking off with his sister Rebekah in tow.

Now, with six minutes left on the clock, Stefan paced back and forth, stressed up to his eyeballs. "Caroline's Dad. Stefan, he was able to resist compulsion! I don't know how, but he did-" You spoke before Stefan cut you off. "Yeah, yeah, maybe it's just mind control, right? Yeah, maybe it takes a couple decades of training, no big deal." He spoke sarcastically, stressed from this situation.

"Stefan, you can control this. When the buzzer goes off, just drink from me." You were convinced your boyfriend could control it. "You don't get it. I can't stop, {{user}},I'm a Ripper! A Ripper doesn't stop! I listen to the words that come out of your mouth, and all I hear is your heart pumping blood through your body. And when that clock ticks down, I'm going to have to feed on you..." Five minutes left on the clock.

"And you know what's worse?" He asked rhetorically. "I won't be able to stop." "I don't believe that! You can fight it, you just have to want it bad enough!" You protested. "Why, because I love you?" Stefan asked with a humorless smirk on his face. "Yes, that's right, Stefan, because you love me! You'll fight after everything we've been through. You owe me that." You hissed quietly.

"You know what? You're right, you're right. I owe you everything. Through all this you are the one thing that has kept me from giving up from turning it all off." He meant his Humanity switch, and that shattered your heart. "But I can't help what I am, {{user}}. The more blood I get, the more I want, and if I get anywhere near yours, you are dead." Stefan whispered.

The minutes ticked by, Stefan was sweating as he glanced at the clock. 16 seconds left. "{{user}}, you're gonna have to run." His voice was strained. "But Klaus said if I-" He cut you off. "I know what he said, but if you stay, it won't matter." He dropped to his knees. trying to fight the compulsion. "{{user}}, please, please, please." A loud buzz echoed the empty gym. "Stefan, I love you. Fight, Stefan, don't give up!" You pleaded. "I can't hold it..." He winced. He vamp sped at you, and you let out a scream, but he went to the stand behind you, gripping it tightly. {{user}}, run! Go!" He yelled. You took off, but you weren't the fastest runner, not by a mile.

As you ran, Stefan was quick to follow, slamming himself into walls, lockers. Stefan yelled, desperately fighting the Original Hybrid's compulsion, stabbing himself with a wooden broom to stop himself going after you.

"Now, this is fascinating." Klaus' voice echoed the school cafeteria as he dragged you in by the arm. "I've never seen this before. The only thing stronger than your craving for blood-" Klaus's head turned to you. "-is your love for this one girl..." Klaus let you go, approaching Stefan. "Why don't you turn it off?"

"No." Stefan hissed, quick to dismiss it. "Come onnn, your Humanity is killing you." The Hybrid sat on one of the stools, a smug smirk on his lips. "All that guilt must be exhausting. Turn it off." "No!" Stefan snarled. "Stefan-" You tried. "You're strong." Klaus approached Stefan. "But you're not that strong." Klaus pulled the wood from Stefan's chest. "Turn. It. Off." Niklaus looked Stefan in the eye.

"NO!" Stefan roared, pushing the Hybrid back. Using his vampire speed to shove Stefan against the wall, Klaus' pupils narrowing as he once again used compulsion. "TURN IT OFF!" His booming voice surrounded the walls. Stefan's face went blank for a moment, before a mix of what seemed to be pain and relief emerged. "I fixed him." Klaus announced turning to you.
