Your online college courses were relentless, from your professors never letting you catch a break, to the day-long assignments you had to complete.

And, of course, today was no exception. It was Valentine’s Day, you weren’t permitted to have no classes today, unfortunately.

All the while, you thought Sam was over at Colby’s house, working on editing their latest YouTube video, preparing to upload it on Sunday.

But Sam had asked Colby if he could manage on his own so that he could surprise you today, having always known how exhausting your online classes could be.

He wanted to make you feel better— and what better day to do it, than today?

After hours and hours spent in your room, completing assignments back-to-back for all your classes, you finished around eight o’clock at night.

You tiredly rub your eyes, closing your laptop finally, sluggishly getting up from your seat, making your way downstairs.

But you pause as soon as you open your bedroom door, seeing beautiful white rose petals scattered across the floor in a trail, leading downstairs.

Slowly, you follow the trail of rose petals down the stairs, into the living room, where it stops just dead center of the lounge.

You gaze lifts from the trail of rose petals, to see Sam standing there in a suit, consisting of a beautiful white button down shirt, a dark brown blazer layered atop it, along with matching brown slacks, and black dress shoes, a white rose in his hand.

He had on his typical pearl necklace and matching bracelet, knowing you loved the set of jewelry on him, along with his usual two, silver plated rings; one on both hands.

On the coffee table, was an ice-filled bucket with a bottle of expensive champagne sitting atop it, more white rose petals scattered around it beautifully.

“Hey, beautiful..” He croons softly with that warm, charming smile of his, his eyes just faintly crinkling at the corners.
