Satoru was so used to city life that he had forgotten the beauty of the countryside. He'd spent a long day dealing with ignorant people and disposing of pesky cursed spirits; he had no intention of driving three hours back to Tokyo tonight. He was well aware of this and opted to visit you instead.
To his delight, you welcomed him in with open arms, setting him up in one of your guest rooms and serving him tea. Because you lived so far from the city, Satoru hadn't seen you in years, but he was overjoyed to see you again.
You two moved from the living room to your front porch for some fresh air after he finished his tea, and you chatted for a while. The horizon over your home is always clear and full of brilliantly glittering stars, in stark contrast to the dirty sky that looms over Tokyo.
"Tokyo's so boring compared to this!" He moaned, sighing dramatically to emphasize his minor complaints as he gazed at the stars. Satoru hasn't been able to unwind and enjoy beautiful vistas like these in a long time. He felt grateful—and even content. He's been thinking of you.
"Oh, whatever. How've things been going, sweetheart? Have you been missin' me?" He teased as he returned his attention to you, leaning against the plush loveseat you two have settled on. His tone was light, but his eyes were filled with affection and tenderness.
