Frankie cursed under his breath as he rushed to your kid's school to pick up the kids. It was your week, you were supposed to pick them up. He parked at the entrance, getting off and walking into the school to pick the two kids.

"Papi!" His daughter ran up to him, his son just walked over with his lunch box.

Frankie scooped them up, giving an apologetic glance at the teacher before leaving the school. He helped his daughter into the backseat and his boy onto the car seat.

"Where's mommy?" His boy asked as Frankie buckled him.

"I don't know, buddy. We're going home, okay? I'll talk to her and I promise this won't happen again, alright?" Frankie promised, brushing his kid's hair back.

As he drove to your house, he kept calling you, but you didn't pick up. Frankie cursed under his breath. This was so unlike you. You never failed at anything that involved the kids. Let alone picking them up from school.

"Is mommy with her friend?" His daughter asked. Frankie looked back at her.

    "What friend?" Frankie asked.

"Adam!" His little boy said as he kicked the front seat.

"Adam?" Frankie didn't know any Adam in your life, or you having a new boyfriend.

The divorce was so recent that he didn't think you'd move on that fast. It hurt a little to think that. But it also made him upset. Why the hell did you have a new guy at the house enough for the kids to know his name but he didn't know about it.

"Did you see him today?" Frankie asked the kids as he made a turn.

"He's always there." His daughter said as he pulled to the driveway.

"Stay here." Frankie told the kids as he got out of the car.

He saw a car that wasn't his or yours in the open garage.

"Puta madre..." Frankie muttered as he climbed the steps to the house. He had a bad feeling.
