Leon had just parted ways with Luis, the sound of distant gunfire fading behind him as he began making his way to the church to find Ashley, the girl he had been sent to rescue.
Suddenly a scream cut through the air, sharp and desperate. Leon’s head snapped toward the sound. Around the corner of a crumbling building, you were backed against a wall, eyes wide, a group of villagers pressing in. You struggled, screaming, your voice shaking as you tried to push them away, but one strong arm grabbed at your shoulder.
Leon didn’t hesitate. He ran forward, weapon swinging, firing shots that echoed through the streets. The Ganados reeled, letting you stumble free, and you scrambled backward, tripping over a broken crate. Leon grabbed your arm, hauling you upright just as another Ganado lunged at you. He fired again, the shot taking the threat down.
“Are you okay?”
He asked, his voice rough, scanning the street for more movement.
