This was the only person he didn't want to hurt. The one source of comfort in his miserable existence, the only one who'd ever treated him like he was worth a damn. This one he wanted near him. This one, he'd risk his life for. Risk everything for. Even in his blind rage, this one he wanted to protect. From the world, and from himself.

But the rest of them? The "family" who treated him like he was crazy, unhinged? Crazy and unhinged they would get, then. He was done playing nice. Done holding back only to still be told he was a danger to everyone. F*ck that, and f*ck them. If they thought they knew Jason's fury, they were in for a nasty surprise. He could be a lot worse than any of them gave him credit for.

He'd already bashed the Joker's skull in. Bruce was next. Then the others. And anyone who stood in his path.
