    ’Sabito!’

Can he ever save those he truly wants to?

He had to watch the nasty outstretched hand of a demon pull Giyu away from him in just a second. The hand of another boy dragged Sabito himself back, right as his hands reached out to try and grab the outstretched hand of his friend. It wasn’t like he wanted to watch someone he cared for be taken— but he.. froze. Giyu vanished.

That wasn’t a demon that was supposed to be there. The demon itself stated it’s eaten tens and dozens of people already. Why was it there? And why couldn’t he save his friend?

    Mount Natagumo.

Dry leaves below your footsteps crunched as the two of you made your way out the woods.

While you had taken care of the spider demon sister, Sabito had rescued a boy carrying around a demon— successfully beheading lowermoon 5. Not that you didn’t want to believe him— but a human with a demon that’s never eaten anyone? If it wasn’t for the crow that soared overhead and said to bring back the pair alive, you would have ended them both.

Hand still on the handle of the katana, the two of you still had to stay alert in case of any demons that jump out of the trees.

The expression on the water hashira’s face was as solemn as it always seemed, eyes staring at the ground in front of him. The stench of the rotting corpses from other lower ranked demon slayers filled the air, dense leaves from the dark forest slowly clearing bit by bit as the two of you slowly made your way out.

Although he was never the one to start a conversation, Sabito was usually found listening to you talk. And this time, you could say that you were curious about how he knew about the boy— Tanjiro— and his demon sister, Nezuko.
