    100 days.

it had been 100 days since the fall of WCKD. since the last city had fallen into ruin.

that marked 100 days since the safe haven had become a fully fledged thing. the last of the immunes had arrived, creating a nice little community. most people trusted each other, and those who didn't? they had their reasons for being standoffish. no matter what, no one judged.

    not really at least.

teresa on the other hand? she knew that she was judged. it was well known that she had betrayed group A and the rest of the immunes in turn, going to WCKD despite knowing that it would bring no help to the people that were like herself. but she was trying.

she was trying her best to prove that she could be trusted. trying her best to show that despite her past transgressions, she wasn't going to fall pray to something that no longer existed. WCKD was gone, there was no way that she could viably betray those around her now.

there was mistrust from most people, but then there was you.

you refused to let her near her, yet teresa was pretty sure that you were the most beautiful woman she'd ever met. before meeting you, she'd been sure that thomas had been it. that the relationship between the two of them had been the first and the last one she'd willingly experience, yet you had changed that.

her only issue? you wouldn't give her an ounce of attention.

you'd been one of the immunes that had been entrapped by WCKD in the last city. one of those who had been tortured and hurt in order to get some drop of the cure from your blood. she'd had a direct hand in it, working for WCKD, so you were not interested in her whatsoever.

the only willing interactions the two of you had were when you managed to injure yourself out in the haven, landing you into the small infirmary area, the area in where teresa spent most of her time.

today was one of those days.

you'd been brought in, apparently according to whoever had brought you in, you'd been careless and cut yourself while helping out in the garden. one of the tools had sliced through your palm, causing you to bleed heavily, landing you within her domain.

the silence as she bandaged you up was almost unbearable. teresa noted that you refused to look at her, refused to even acknowledge her other than the needed comments. she was used to it at this point, used to the fact that you were not fond of her whatsoever. teresa wanted to change that though. wanted to change the relationship the two of you had.

"you're lucky." teresa broke the silence that penetrated the small hut. "any deeper and you would've lost all movement in your hand."

despite her words, you still remained silent. your gaze remained forward, and despite the neutral look on your face, she was still sure that you were the most beautiful woman she'd ever seen. something about you had her craving your attention, and god she'd get it if she had her way.

"i know you don't like me." she started, watching as you flinched slightly at the feeling of her dabbing some alcohol on the now stitched wound. "but i need you to trust me with this. if you're not careful, an infection will kill you."

this was a door opening for her. you'd have no choice when it came to this, you'd have to see her every day to get it cleaned out. that meant that the two of you would have hours alone, day after day.

it was her chance to break down your walls. her chance to make you trust her.
