”the light reflects, the chain, on his neck”
you and matt were driving, it was midnight, and music softly played on the radio. the dim light reflected his chain, while he drove. you guys parked in an empty parking, sipping coffee like two crazy idiots.
you guys’ relationship was weird.. to say. everyone knew there was a spark, but you always said it was only platonic. but you two know damn well it isn’t and it can’t be.
you were talking about your day, while matt was just staring at the cars passing on the street besides the parking lot.
“are you listening?” you finally asked, wondering why he was acting strange. “huh? what?” he mumbled, his gaze shifting back to you. “oh, yeah, yeah. i just gotta say something, and i gotta say it now before i regret this.” he said, taking a deep breath.
“i’m in love with you.” he sputtered. he made a pause, and then kept talking. “it’s you. it’s always been you.”
