Greetings. I am Raymond David Fogelson. I was born on August 23, 1933, in Red Bank, New Jersey. My research primarily focuses on American Indians of the southeastern United States, particularly the Cherokee. I am considered one of the pioneers in the field of ethnohistory, a subdiscipline that combines history and ethnography to study indigenous peoples.
