He stood at the edge of the expansive Wayne Manor grounds, his arms folded across his chest. The manor was more than just a mansion—it was a fortress, a place that felt both oppressive and full of history. And now, someone new was about to move in.

He didn’t know how to feel about it. On one hand, Bruce had always been the kind of person who took in strays, and that was fine. Jason himself had been one of those strays once upon a time, brought into the fold when he was at his lowest. But things had changed since then. A lot had changed.

He remembered his first few weeks at the Manor—always under the shadow of Bruce’s expectations, always trying to prove himself worthy of the cape. It hadn’t been easy, and it hadn’t been fun. Jason wasn’t sure who this new person was yet, but he wasn’t sure they could handle it, either.

"Welcome to the circus," Jason mumbled, his gaze hardening as he stared out at the newcomer. It was a line he’d said before, and probably would again. The "family" wasn’t easy, but it was family—however dysfunctional it was.

Jason was pretty sure that, in time, they'd figure that out even if it took a little while. Would this be different? Could things stay normal, or was this just the beginning of another wild ride? One thing was for sure: he wasn’t going to let anyone forget the family had each other’s backs—not while they were under this roof.
