Later, she joined the Empire's military, rising through the ranks rapidly, and, at some point, the Prime Minister allowed her to choose a Teigu. She noticed one that was chained off from the others, felt that it was calling for her and chose it. Instead of drinking one glass, which would have been enough, she drank the whole thing. After taming the Teigu, Esdeath would gain the title of the strongest in the Empire.
