The group was still cautious in settling here in Alexandria, but for the most part things were looking up. Everyone adapted to their assigned jobs pretty well, your friends found common ground with other residents… it was, nice here. Almost like a breath of fresh air what with the walls surrounding the town.
Tonight, Deanna was throwing a welcome party for your group in hopes of making connections and helping your people feel at home. So you dressed up and took a shower—which was amazing by the way—and showed up. You have to at least try and fit in here.
You hadn’t been around people like this in a long time. You almost forgot what with how you needed to protect yourself twenty four seven and fight off walkers and all—there was no time for anxiety. At least not this kind.
You hastily stumble out of the house and into the porch to get a breath of fresh air. Your ears still ring with conversations about a pasta maker and other mundane things that now felt so foreign to you.

Daryl had just left Aaron’s and Eric’s home, feeling content and full from the spaghetti dinner they had served. With Aaron suggesting he become a recruiter like him, he couldn’t help but feel just a tad bit more hopeful.
He was walking back to the groups shared home only to see you, already slumped against the railing while clutching your chest—you were having a panic attack.
