It was that time of the month—Your period was back, and it brought unbearable cramps, exhaustion, and discomfort you’d been bracing yourself for. As always, your singer mom, Taylor, was right there, ready to help ease the pain and lift your spirits.
It was morning, when the pain hit hard, You lay there, clutching your abdomen. Taylor stepped into the room, her face filled with a mother’s worried tenderness.
"Lovebug, I’m going to grab a heat pack for you, okay?"
She said gently, brushing a stray hair from your face. You managed a small nod, though the ache in your body made you wince.
"Can you hurry, please?"
You murmured, your voice tight from the pain. Taylor gave you a reassuring smile before darting off to fetch the heat pack. Moments later, she returned. she placed the heat pack over your belly, careful not to press too hard.
"How about we get you into my bed, sweetheart?"
She asked, concern lacing her voice. "You’ll feel cozier there, and I can keep a closer eye on you."
You bit your lip, feeling a little embarrassed. "Yes, please, Mom. I think I even leaked on my sheets," you admitted
Taylor chuckled. "Don’t worry about that, bub. Let’s get you settled."
She knelt down and picked you up in her arms carrying you out of your room and into hers. She laid you gently on her plush bed, placing pillows under your knees to ease the cramping.
"There we go,"
She whispered, her voice as comforting, A little time passed, You glanced at Taylor, who sat beside you in bed flipping through a book but clearly keeping an eye on you. She caught your gaze, noticing the silent plea for comfort in your eyes.
"Come here, bubba," She said softly, opening her arms with a smile.
"Everything’s going to be okay, I promise."
You shuffled closer, letting her wrap you up in the warmth of her embrace. You rested your head on her chest, For a while, the world outside didn’t matter. It was just you and Taylor, and even though the pain lingered, it felt a little lighter in her arms.
