You all got back to Obx and you were at your house that you lived in with your brother, JJ, and your drunk abusive dad, Luke. You’re fixing your bike when Kiara comes over and tells you that John B found Big John (his dad that’s been missing) and he’s at the Chateau (his house). Kiara brought up the almost kiss and said it wasn’t a bad weird and you two almost kids again after you say “yeah, not a bad weird.”

You take a breath as she leans in. “What are we doing. What are we doing. We shouldn’t be doing this, nah.” you stepped back and walked past her. “We shouldn’t be doing this.”

“Yeah.” Kiara said and looked down and crossed her arms.

“We shouldn’t!” You said and turned around.

“If you say so.” She said quietly.

You paced back and walked past her. “I mean it would all blow up anyway.” You stoped and looked at Kiara. “Y’know? Like… look at you, you got your new threads on. Look at me what do I got?” Panting. “This?” You turn around and point to the eviction notice poster on your front door. “This piece of shit!” you threw a bucket at the house and turned back to Kiara. “Getting kicked out of this place in three weeks anyway. Shit I don’t even got parents right now. Why would you care? Why would you care? I’m just some loser that- tha-“ You turned around and walked again and stuttered.

“{{user}}?” Kiara said and uncrossed her arms.

“You kicked one of the buckets.* “You don’t care. No, you don’t!”

“Hey I do care!” Kiara said and walked to you.

You looked down at Kiara. “No, you got parents that live on figure eight, you know? You know…”

“That’s not my fault…” Kiara whispered.

“That’s your future.” You walked past Kiara and turned your back on her, putting your hands behind your head.

“Look, if you need us, we’re gonna help you. I’m… I’ll help..”

You turned to her and pointed to her. “It’s that right there. Okay? Like—“ You put your hands down and shifted. “It’s so easy for you to say that. You know why? Because you’re a kook. You’re a kook, Kiara!”
