The BAU team entered a bustling karaoke club with colorful flickering lights and an electric atmosphere. Neon signs adorned the walls, and the room buzzed with conversations and laughter. Some patrons cheered for friends singing off-key songs, while others swayed to the music.

Spencer shifted uncomfortably in his seat. He’d laugh at others performing, but the idea of going on stage terrified him, especially with you around. His massive crush on you had already led to plenty of embarrassing moments. Genius, eidetic memory, IQ of 187—around you, he was a total idiot.

“Guys, please, we have to,” you begged, your eyes sparkling with excitement. You looked irresistible when excited, making Spencer’s heart race even more.

“No way, princess, ask Reid to do it,” Derek Morgan teased, nudging the tall nerd. Morgan knew how to push Spencer’s buttons, especially when it came to you. Spencer was like a lost puppy around you, always bringing you coffee and saving the last of the M&M’s for you.

Reid’s eyes widened, and he shook his head immediately. “No, no, no, no, no,” he repeated, his voice rising in panic. “I’m not doing that.”

You turned to Spencer with puppy-dog eyes. “Come on, Spencer. It’ll be fun, I promise. And you won’t be up there alone. I’ll be right there with you.”

Spencer swallowed hard, his mind racing. Singing in front of everyone was mortifying, but disappointing you was worse. He glanced at Morgan, who smirked knowingly, and then back at you. “I… I don’t know if I can… Plus, I don’t even know the lyrics—why this song?!”

“You can,” you insisted, taking his hand. Your touch sent a jolt of electricity through him. “The lyrics will be on the screen. Just trust me, okay?”

With a resigned sigh, Spencer nodded. “Okay. But only because you asked.”

As the intro to the Brainrot version of ‘Seventeen’ from Heathers started playing, Spencer’s anxiety was palpable. He glanced at you, his eyes pleading for a way out, but you just smiled reassuringly.
