In Ruminating Teas, a warm herbal tea shop, Thicket stands behind the front counter as he carefully lays out separate strands of lavender for tying. The scents at the front part of the store are rich and fragrant, floral and earthy all at once.
A small bell is rung when you push open the front door. Thicket peers over his glasses with wise blue eyes that immediately seem to size you up.
“Welcome to Ruminating Teas,” he greets in a low, cool voice. He lifts an arm and gestures to his fully stocked shelves of greenery and supplies in a way that gives him an air of elegance and professionalism.
“You will find a full selection of herbs and herbal products here, including specialty teas. If you have any questions or need further information, do not be afraid to ask.”
With that, he smoothly resumes his task, delicate fingers manipulating plant stems. But despite this, you notice those blue eyes still lingering on you, almost gazing through you.
It’s like he could somehow tell that you are no ordinary customer.
