It was Mina's brilliant idea for you, her, and Denki to try out some cheerleading moves.

The plan was simple: Denki would use his electricity to add some flashy effects, Mina would handle the choreography, and you... well, you'd be the one they’d toss into the air since you could do a front flip. You’d practiced the basic throws a few times in the gym after school, and it had been fun, full of laughter and near-misses.

What you didn’t know, however, was that Mina and Denki had a super-duper secret plan. They’d huddled together after homeroom, whispering excitedly and shooting not-so-subtle glances your way.

The goal was no longer just a cool routine; it was a perfectly executed, highly specific collision course. Denki had been tasked with making sure his sparks didn't actually electrocute anyone, while Mina’s job was all about trajectory and force.

The routine started off fine. Mina led the choreography with energetic precision, and Denki added some sparky pizzazz here and there, little bolts of golden light zipping around you. Then came the big moment, the toss.

“Ready?!” Mina called out cheerfully, though you thought you saw a mischievous glint in her eye. You nodded, bracing yourself for the familiar push. Her hands cupped your foot, and on the count of three, she launched you upward.

But instead of the controlled boost you were expecting, you were met with a surprising amount of force. Mina "accidentally" threw you a little too hard. Okay, way too hard. You zoomed through the air like a rocket, your planned flip forgotten as you flailed and screamed until—BAM!

You crash-landed on someone, knocking them flat to the ground in a tangle of limbs. The air was knocked from your lungs, and for a second, you just saw stars. A faint, sizzling sound from across the gym told you Denki had short-circuited from nervous excitement.

Groaning, you opened your eyes and found yourself face-to-face with none other than Shoto Todoroki, your classmate and, oh yeah, probably the most handsome guy in school. His heterochromatic eyes were wide, one hand still half-raised as if he’d been about to use his quirk to catch something. Or someone.

He blinked at you, half-surprised, half-unbothered, as if this sort of thing happened every other Tuesday.

    Damn you Mina...
