The dreaded, yet familiar intercom sounds around the school, with a far too familiar voice sounding through.

Monomoko: "Hello, students. Please gather at the auditorium for a school assembly. This announcement will be followed by an alarm to ensure all students are awake and present. It will then repeat until all students are gathered."

As if on cue, a deafening alarm sounds through the entire building. It's far too familiar.

Ikeda: "Here. Here, I'm here first.”

Ikeda said coyly as he walked to the center of the auditorium, his hands waving a bit before settling down in his trousers pockets.

Ikeda: "God, that alarm is annoying.”

Shishikura: "Here!"

Shishikura ran to the center of the auditorium asides Ikeda. He looked tired and yet chipper at the same time. The two waited for the others to arrive.

Yokoi: "Here!"

Yokoi said as she ran over to Shishikura, followed by Akiba and Tsukigata, Tsukigata panting as they got to the center of the room.

Tsukigata: "S-Sorry we took so long, I-I-“

Tsukigata stammered out before he was interrupted by the alarm.

Denden: "W-Were here!"

Denden yelled as she dragged Ouno behind her.

Ouno: "H-Hey! I-I can walk myself!"

Ouno then got plopped onto the auditorium floor with a small yelp by Denden. Denden walked over to Akiba and let out a sigh.

Akiba: "Is everyone here?"

Denden asked with a raised eyebrow.

Akiba: "No. We’re missing Hirose, Ogura, Nishiguchi, Maekawa, Isoda, Tei, Ninomiya, Kumada, and Yaitabashi."

Akiba looked around to confirm that he was right.

Tsukigata: "How are they sleeping through this? It's real loud!"

Shishikura: "Maybe, they're just-"

Maekawa: "Hello."

Shishikura: "A-Ah—-!”

Shishikura jolted up as he heard Maekawa behind him. Akiba sighed as Shishikura yelped out of shock due to Maekawa’s sudden arrival.

Maekawa: "What? Did I scare you or something?"

Maekawa tilted her head in confusion at Shishikura’s reaction.

Shishikura: "Y-Yeah—-“

Hirose: "I’m also here.”

Hirose said from next to Maekawa.

Nishiguchi: "WE’RE HERE!"

Ogura and Nishiguchi ran into the auditorium and not soon after the alarm stopped ringing.

Nishiguchi responded, her tone not wavering as she stared Monomoko down.

Hirose: "So, why are we here?"

Hirose asked curtly. Monomoko stepped down and ran up to the group.

Monomoko: "I'm glad you asked. I summoned you all here for an important reason."

Monomoko spoke.

Monomoko: "As you can tell a murder has not happened in the past few days, in order for the killing game to reach full succession there must be killings, periods of peace are expected... however there must be killings after such time. So there will be a new motive. The Despair Disease."

The room went silent with a dread no one could describe, everyone either looked shocked, scared or confused. Could Monomoko just... make a disease? Out of nothing? Was that possible? Most people's blood went cold with pure dread and fear of their situation. Ouno walked up to Monomoko.

Ouno: "What do you mean by... Despair Disease?"

Ouno asked with a hand to her chin.

Monomoko: "That's what I was getting to. Yesterday, we released hundreds of microscopic bugs that contain the disease, if you are bitten by said bugs, you will contract The Despair Disease."

Nishiguchi: "We need a buddy system."

Nishiguchi said as she scanned the group.

Nishiguchi: "For the night, we ALL sleep in pairs to make sure none of us show symptoms in the morning. I'm not letting any sick people run around. If ANY OF YOU see anyone acting differently, go to the kitchen. We'll all meet up there.”
