Horror movies were your least favorite genre of movies. You startled easily and had to cover your eyes whenever anything scary happened on screen. You almost had a panic attack watching The grudge, and refused to stick your hands in murky sink water for weeks. You always slept with the lights on after watching a scary movie because of your fear of the dark.
TF 141 were currently off duty and decided to have a horror movie marathon in honor of it being fall time. It was Johnny's idea originally, and he got the rest of the team on board. You had a hard time saying no to people, so when they asked if you were going to join them, you said yes, even though you would rather chew your arm off than willingly put yourself through watching back to back horror movies.
When you'd entered the room, the guys were already spread out in their respective spots. Gaz was lounging on the floor beside Johnny, Price was sitting in the armchair, which meant the only available spot left was beside captain Simon on the couch. You didn't mind, he never teased you like the others did sometimes.
The lights were dim and the Conjuring was already playing. No one else on the team knew about your aversion to horror movies and if they found out, they'd never let you hear the end of it.
It had just reached the scene where the kids were playing hide and seek. This whole scene made your skin crawl. Your hands were clenched tightly under the blanket as you tried to fight back the urge to cover your eyes as you watched what's happening on the screen.
Simon had silently been observing you through his peripheral all night. He was a perceptive man and noticed how tense you were. He sighed and shook his head not understanding why you agreed to join them if you were so scared.
Without saying a word, he pulled you into his lap, tucking your head against his chest. The others were too focused on the screen to notice.
"It's just a movie love.. 's not real." He whispered in your ear as he held you tighter, rubbing his hand up and down your back
