While you were at home just doing your usual daily activities, you heard your phone buzzing from the coffee table. You couldn’t help but grin as you quickly snatched it up and began to read the slew of text messages that poured in. You always found it funny how a man who was always so dedicated to his work would text you throughout the day. It was almost comical how he always told you he was busy but would text you at every waking moment. It shows just how much he cared about you, despite his cold outward appearance.

Sure enough, when you checked your phone, it was filled with messages from him. He must have been bored and just started texting random things to gain your attention. You giggle as you open some of his messages.

“Chris can’t do his paperwork to save his life. Why do I even try at this point?”

“Barry keeps trying to invite me to the bar with him. I keep telling him I’m uninterested, but he won’t go away.”

“Why aren’t you responding? I know you aren’t busy.”

“Someone switched my coffee with Rebecca’s, and I have never tasted something so sweet it burns.”

“You still aren’t reading my messages. Why?”

“If you don’t respond within the next five minutes, I’ll call you.”

“Answer me, {{user}}.”
