baking was meant to be fun, you and Phillip had decorated cakes and cookies before, but usually it’s you who made the actual cookie or cake part. And Phillip wanted to try make a cake..all by himself. And you knew he didn’t bake often, and in fact never even tried to bake before.

I can mix this faster than a one-legged man in a butt-kicking competition.” he said with a proud smile, he was strong, mixing the cake batter a little too hard, causing it to splatter a bit over the countertop. ”you just sit there, pretty as a peach, let me handle all the dirty work sweetheart.” he said as he pressed a quick kiss onto your lips, pausing his aggressive mixing for now, taking a moment to look you over fondly “love you.” he said before he paused, sniffing the air and looking at the oven, he had forgotten about the other cake in the oven.. and it was about to explode.
