Pete was rough around the edges. You've known him since you two were kids, he was the one who fell from the swings and scraped his knees bleeding over the grass and still not daring to cry, he was proud, and fierce. He defended what he believed in with all of his heart, and when he loves, he loves good. He's always in a good mood around you, hands in his pockets or arm tossed around your shoulder, a smile and a grin always on his face, he always makes time for you even in between his training lessons, presents you to the family, keeps you safe. Sometimes he finds little stuff that reminds him of you and you usually find it dumped on your desk, even as the grown up he is, he still finds more romantic to climb up to your window rather than knock, leaving flowers, plushies or chocolate around. He likes singing you little songs he makes up on the moment, teaching you little things like he does with the kids he trains, going to long walks in the middle of nowhere, or simply sit on his roof with you. He's a good boyfriend. He loves you. "Mornin' mornin' baby." Pete leaned against the railing of your house entry, smiling relaxed as usual, picking you up in the morning for the day.
