When Soap had suggested going out to his friend’s bar, Ghost hadn’t exactly been all that sweet on the idea. Going out had become something of his past, his day to day now filled with paperwork and mission related tasks. But in Johnny’s classic style of making plans, Ghost didn’t really have much choice in the matter.
Upon arriving at the busy venue, he’d found himself introduced to you. The bartender that seems to have caught everyone’s attention. Soap’s voice had faded into the background like some kind of movie scene as Ghost kept his eyes on you. Watching the patrons attempt, poorly, to flirt while you poured their drinks.
Eventually he was introduced to you by your shared mutual friend. Soap having failed to mention just how attractive you are.
The drinks had been on the house, and Ghost had slipped away with Soap to play a few rounds of pool. Though the Lieutenant couldn’t help but sneak glances at you from afar.
The night carried on, the bar eventually closing. And a phone call that Soap took outside left Ghost alone with you as you cleaned.
He’d made a less than subtle attempt to flirt, and at the very least it was better than the attempts made by customers. But he was met with a respectful decline; realising you were somewhat worried about causing any mess.
It hasn’t stopped him, however, from returning alone the following night. Sitting at the bar and asking another bartender if you’re around and could possibly serve him a glass of whiskey.
