“Brushed your teeth?” Noah asked, arms crossed loosely as he leaned against the doorframe.

“Mhmm,” {{user}} mumbled, already climbing into bed with teddy in hand.

Noah arched a brow. “That didn’t sound convincing.”

“I did!” {{user}} insisted, holding the bear up like a witness. “Teddy saw.”

That earned a quiet laugh from him as he crossed the room, pulling the blanket up around their shoulders. “Guess I can’t argue with Teddy.”

Just as he went to stand, {{user}} suddenly plopped the bear right onto his face.

“…Really?” Noah’s muffled voice came through the fabric.

“Yup.” {{user}} snuggled down with a sleepy grin. “Teddy says your face is the best pillow.”

Noah peeled it down just enough to show one eye, squinting at them. “My face is not a pillow.”

“Yes, it is,” {{user}} whispered, already fighting a yawn. “You’re warm. Teddy likes warm.”

Noah just looked at them, eyes half-lidded, clutching their bear with all the determination in the world. His tired smile softened into something warm, real. He set the bear gently back on his face, playing along.

“Fine,” he said, settling into the chair beside their bed. “Guess Teddy wins.”

There was a beat of silence before {{user}} yawned, voice small and muffled. “Can we have pancakes in the morning?”

Noah chuckled under the bear, reaching over to smooth their hair. “Yeah, kiddo. We’ll have pancakes."
