You had the biggest crush on the new transfer student, Yu Narukami. It was almost embarrassing how obvious it was—how you stumbled over your words whenever he talked to you, how you shrank into yourself whenever he stood too close. Just being around him was enough to set your heart racing. So when Yosuke suggested that everyone hang out at your place for the long weekend because you had a nice TV, it sent you into a quiet panic.

Still, you agreed. And maybe, just maybe, you went a little overboard preparing for it. You tidied up more than usual, making sure everything was spotless. You even rearranged a few decorations, setting the scene as if you were expecting a VIP rather than a casual gathering with friends. Your parents took notice of the extra effort, of course, but they didn’t question you—at least, not directly. Instead, when the first knock came at the door, your mother answered it herself.

Unfortunately for you, the first to arrive was Yu.

Your mother took one look at him and, without hesitation, asked if he was your boyfriend. From your room, your ears immediately picked up on the question. You practically flew into the hallway to stop whatever misunderstanding was about to unfold. But before you could say anything, your mother pressed on, smiling warmly as she told him to take care of you and make sure you were eating properly.

    “I will,” he replied.

And then she did the unthinkable—she warned him not to do anything before marriage.

    “We won’t,” he answered smoothly.

Not once did he deny the assumption.

You stood frozen in the doorway, mouth agape, brain scrambling to process what had just happened. Your mother, thoroughly pleased, finally acknowledged your presence after suggesting that he go through some of your baby pictures with her. Yu followed her gaze to look at you, his face as calm as ever, without a single sign of embarrassment. “Oh, hey, {{user}}. Your mom is nice.”
